Colleen McKinney:

Hi Everyone! I'm Colleen, aka the daughter of the mother and daughter- in- law team! I am a mom, a wife, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, and probably a few other titles!

I work full time for our family heating and air conditioning business, which helped me to discover my love for rustic pallet signs. I saw pallets coming back from jobs daily and they were being discarded. My husband and I had just purchased our first home not long before this and my mind was in constant decorating mode, which led me to realize the potential these pallets held! ;) Sure enough-- once I finally figured out the whole dismantling thing (which really was a bear at first) they transformed in to some awesome home decor. I hope you find one that you absolutely love as much as I loved making it. Each sign is hand painted.

Jodi McKinney:

Hi, I’m Jodi – the mother-in-law of the team (and also a grandma, which is my absolute favorite job of all time). It is such a thrill for me to collaborate here with my daughter-in-law, Colleen in our creative business.  I work full time in home health and hospice doing strategic planning, but when I have time “in between,” I love to express myself creatively through watercolor. Most of my art is available in its original form, 5x7 and 8x10 prints of the original, and greeting cards sold in boxed sets. I love painting in a loose, impressionistic style. I use Daniel Smith, Winsor Newton, and M Graham paints and typically work on 140lb Saunders Waterford, Fabriano Artistico, or Arches Cold Press Paper (though I sometimes venture onto 300lb or Hot Press). I also enjoy blogging daily at, and have written and illustrated a children’s book for all ages called Klaus the Mouse and other Silly Animal Tales, which can be purchased on Blurb at
